My personal experience
I have used Windows on my PC for many years; one of my favourite versions was Windows XP. According to other users, XP was the last friendly version
When that was no longer available, I think I may have used other the free upgrades Windows
At sometime I was invited to update to Windows 10, which took a huge amount of time to update. I left it on all night and went to bed.
Even in the morning, it still had the message “Do not close Windows”, but out of frustration, I switched it off, but to my surprise, it worked with no problem
Over time, I became used to the workings of Windows 10, and it became like a best friend
Apart from those annoying frequent updates, which took up memory space, I often wondered, “Why can’t replace the older updates with the new ones” rather than taking up memory space
Windows 11
First the rummers which promoted me to buy a new PC suitable to host the Windows 11 update, since my old one was not comparable
So I found and bought a new PC with Windows 11 installed, sadly by the time I need to change over to the new PC the software had expired, more expense!
I spent some time viewing YouTube videos of what other users thought of Windows 11
Most review videos I watched were far from happy, and quite a few were going to swap over to Linux
But since I spent money to buy a new PC I may as well test it out, which was very quick & quiet loading and easy enough to connect to my Wi-Fi, but the new layout was missing a lot of features, and it may time exploring to find where the missing features are hidden
When I swap over to the Windows 11 PC, I will need to learn how to move all my software and bookmarks over from the old machine
